Jiren and Videl may not be playable for us just yet, but it looks like we can start sinking our teeth into what 2019 has in store for Dragon Ball FighterZ with all of its new changes.

Dragon Ball FighterZ update Version 1.14 is now available to download bringing with it all of the Season 2 system changes and will run you around 440 MB on PlayStation 4. The pair of new fighters do show up on the character select screen following the patch though the DLC isn't set to launch until January 31.

Bandai Namco released the official patch notes for the Season 2 update yesterday which feature some big changes to a number of the fighting game's mechanics including some nerfs to Dragon Rush and lessening the amount of recoverable life characters will have after being hit.

Sparking has also been altered heavily so that it can now be used while guarding for a new defensive option that should function similar to a burst mechanic in other anime fighting games.

Pricing for Videl, Jiren and the Season Pass 2 has not been announced for North America, but the new characters will cost 500 yen in Japan (~$4.50 USD) meaning they'll likely be around the same price as the previous eight characters.
