Soul Calibur 6's newest update appears to have added data for up to 6 new code named DLC characters

Soul Calibur 6 is currently slated to receive four characters as DLC in their season pass with Tira and 2B already available to players, but a recent find in the game's files suggest that even more may be on the way.

Following the Version 1.11 patch going live for the title, Soul Calibur 6 reportedly had data added to the game's files on PC for slots of up to 10 DLC characters — nine numbered plus Tira — including the season pass and all new fighters.

As reported by UYU|Koneji and 8WayRun user Autumn, the six new potential characters all have code names as a way to potentially hide their identities though some of them seem fairly simple to solve for anyone who has played the series before.

Those alleged code names are Stone, Yell, Star, Snow, Reptile and Yellow.

If the developers at Bandai Namco are being literal with these names, Stone likely refers to the character Rock who first appeared in the original Soul Edge and Soul Calibur titles while Reptile's obvious choice would be Aeon / Lizardman.

The other names on the list require some diving into translations, etymology and character traits to attempt cracking the code, however.

Sticking to the more literal translations, Snow points to the fan favorite character Setsuka because her name translated to English means 'snow flower.' On a similar note, Yellow could mean that Hwang may be making the jump from story mode appearance to actual playable fighter since his name contains the character for 'yellow' when spelled with Hanja.

Many are speculating that the Star actually alludes to a previous antagonist making another appearance since Algol is apparently the name of a trinary star system with the same etymology origins as Batman villain Ra's Al-Ghul. Some others are hoping the code name could point to Viola or Yun-seong.

Yell appears to be the only name which people haven't found a seemingly concrete explanation for, but there are those like Avoiding the Puddle's Wonkey who believe that it could be in reference to Hilde from Soul Calibur 4 and 5.

Amy and Cassandra were also reportedly leaked by the game's files previously though none of this has been confirmed by Bandai Namco, no future DLC plans have been announced and these could also be red herrings to throw data-miners off of their tracks, so all of these potential leaks should be taken with a healthy grain of salt.
