Bandai Namco released Soul Calibur 6's previous update alongside the crossover guest character from Nier Automata, 2B, last month, but it appears as though the developers have even grander plans than they managed to fit in the fighter's last patch.

Soul Calibur 6 Version 1.11 is slated to release January 17, and the developers have released the full patch notes with some big balance adjustments for 22 characters along with some universal mechanic changes like Reversal Edge, Soul Charge, Lethal Hits and Guard Impact.

Mitsurugi, Seong Mi-Na, Taki, Maxi, Voldo, Sophitia, Siegfried, Ivy, Kilik, Xianghua, Yoshimitsu, Nightmare, Astaroth, Cervantes, Raphael, Talim, Tira, Zasalamel, Groh, Azwel, Geralt and 2B all saw up to almost 30 different changes in some instances.

Fighters like Voldo, Siegfried and the newest fighter 2B faced nerfs to five or more of their moves / combos giving them less damage, more scaling or worse advantage while others like Seong Mi-Na, Zasalamel and Tira saw some nice buffs come their way.

The patch notes provide a detailed description to each change alongside handy tools like arrows to indicate whether moves or mechanics were buffed or nerfed and color coordinated categories that display whether changes were made to behaviors or balance.

A full listing for Soul Calibur 6's 1.11 patch notes can be found on Bandai Namco's website or producer Motohiro Okubo's Twitter account, but we've gathered a selection of them in the gallery below plus the universal changes after the jump.

Soul Calibur 6 Version 1.11 General Patch Notes

• Further emphasized each character's individual characteristics and adjusted areas where characters' strengths did not match their design.

• Included all of the adjustments to character actions that were postponed in version 1.10 due to time restraints, resulting in a large number of changes in version 1.11.

• Adjustments were made to reduce instances of attacks missing even when an enemy's movements were correctly anticipated, such as executing a horizontal attack on an opponent moving sideways. Refer to each section for details on the adjustments made to each character's actions.

• The distance characters were pushed was shortened for certain combos that possessed considerably high ring-out capabilities in order to prevent unfair advantages in cramped stages.

• Attacks that were executable at a glance in offline gameplay but difficult to perform in online matches were adjusted to avoid extreme differences in strategy depending on the gameplay environment.
