Scorpion is actually a much deeper character than I thought; get ready for Mortal Kombat 11 with these in-depth character history lessons

No stone is left unturned in the backstories of Reptile, Scorpion and Sub-Zero

I've earnestly played Mortal Kombat since I was about five years old, (don't tell my mom) and despite purchasing any and all games, films, straight to VHS videos, I still didn't know about half the information presented in Gaming Bolt's new character history presentations.

Looking to the past can be one of the best means of predicting the future, and knowing everything we can about central characters like Scorpion and Sub-Zero very well may help us in our predictions for the next franchise entry.

The blue and yellow MK mainstays are joined by Reptile as Gaming Bolt details the goings on for these fighters from all the way back to when they first popped up in the early 1990's.

We should note that there are essentially two different Mortal Kombat timelines at this point, the first being what was told when Midway was developing the franchise, the second being the story communicated by the more recent NetherRealm Studios.

With nearly 30 years of development, these long time Kombat icons have some very intriguing, long and winding histories, and if you're a fan of the series you'll surely appreciate (and most likely learn from) these recaps.

Continue on to hear the "Full Story" behind Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Reptile as we kill some time during this period of great anticipation for Mortal Kombat 11.
