Bandai Namco has been at the top of their game in recent times, knocking it out of the park with big reveals for titles like Tekken 7, Soul Calibur 6 and Jump Force, but really dropped the (Dragon) ball with today's live stream.

Many expected "BIG reveals, BIG news and BIG interviews with the producers of Dragon Ball FighterZ and Xenoverse 2," (as presented in Thursday's tweet) to mean some kind of Dragon Ball FighterZ Season 2 announcement, but after 30 minutes of talk about Xenoverse and the newly revealed Super Dragon Ball Heroes: World Mission card game, we got nothing of the sort on the DBFZ front.

FighterZ Producer Tomoko Hiroki started her game's portion of the stream with a "wait until the World Tour Finals for an announcement" announcement.

The remaining 15 minutes of the 45 minute stream were used as something of a promo for said World Tour Finals as Hiroki stated that she was excited to see how things will play out, noted a few of the strongest competitive players and recapped some of the previous Tour happenings.

More than 30,000 viewers tuned in expecting Dragon Ball FighterZ and Xenoverse news, and while both titles were mentioned and new content was shown for the latter, it's fairly clear the main attraction for today's stream was the aforementioned card game reveal.

We'll be tuning in for the World Tour Finals later this month and expecting actual reveals and actual news for Dragon Ball FighterZ at that time. If you'd like to watch the archive of today's stream, you can do so by heading over to Bandai Namco's Twitch page.
