Is Ed Boon hinting at Reptile for Mortal Kombat 11? PND Ketchup believes it could be a clue for Chameleon's return

This could also be 'Khameleon' or nothing more than a regular lizard

Mortal Kombat 11 was only just announced back in December 2018 but the game will be releasing just a few months later in April 2019. We're expecting quite the information dump during the January 17th reveal event.

Of course, this means that Ed Boon has a small window of time to tease all the Mortal Kombat fans about what might be revealed. Recently, he posted a picture of what appears to be an in-game model of a reptilian creature.

In his tweet, he posed the question "Reptile konfirmed?" This was followed up by the "MortalKombat11," "WTF," and "CryingWolfAgain" hash tags. As you might expect, many fans have speculated that Reptile is being hinted at as one of the upcoming game's playable fighters.

PND Ketchup has a very different theory. He suspects that this might be a clue for Chameleon instead. Notably, this particular creature does resemble a real world chameleon.

In his video, Ketchup points out that each of the "ninja" characters in the Mortal Kombat universe have a color that identifies them. Chameleon's color was turquoise in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon — Chameleon's last appearance in the series.

There's also a case that could be made for "Khameleon" who is a female Zaterran. Like Chameleon, this character borrows moves from other combatants.

Who knows what Ed Boon is actually hinting at, assuming he's hinting at anything at all. He could just be "crying wolf again." Remember to take any speculation with a grain of salt.
