ZeRo lands the 'greatest Jigglypuff rest kill ever in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate' and his reaction is priceless

The meme revived

After Bayonetta was released and discovered to be top tier in Super Smash Bros. 4, a very short-lived meme came about. Specifically, it was said that Jigglypuff — the worst character in that game — had an advantageous match up against Bayonetta — the best character in that game.

If the Bayonetta player's timing with her combos wasn't precise, then there was a potential for Bayonetta to lose a stock at 0%. Since Bayonetta's combos take both combos so close to the top blast zone, getting hit up here was very dangerous.

This is where Jigglypuff's rest special move — which boasted a healthy amount of invincibility — came in handy as a pseudo-combo breaker.

It appears that it is still possible to pull this sequence off in the latest entry to the series, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. This is exactly what Tempo|ZeRo managed to do during his Twitch stream. While his damage was above 100%, it was the Bayonetta that lost at stock at 0%.

Jigglypuff's rest landed against the Bayonetta user while not being above the stage. This might have actually resulted in an immediate loss for ZeRo in Super Smash Bros. 4, but the buffs in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate meant that he could prematurely wake Jigglypuff up before falling to his death.

I'm not entirely sure what was better: the sequence itself or ZeRo's reaction to it. He couldn't even stop laughing as he rolled into Bayonetta's forward smash.

As a word of warning, you might want to consider turning your volume down. Also, be advised of some NSFW language.
