Clues could indicate that Dragon Ball FighterZ Season 2 announcements are on the horizon with the Red Bull Final Summoning event on January 26-27th

The addition of unknown apps on the Dragon Ball FighterZ steam page and Bandai Namco comments are certainly very interesting

It's been quite some time since Cooler and Android 17 were released as Dragon Ball FighterZ's final Season 1 DLC characters back in September. If you've been keeping yourself occupied in the Hyperbolic Timer Chamber while waiting for news about Season 2, it's surely been an excruciating wait for you...

Dragon Ball FighterZ's future at tournaments was beginning to look uncertain with the game mysteriously being prevented at some events. Luckily, Harada of Bandai Namco confirmed that Tekken 7, Soul Calibur 6, and Dragon Ball FighterZ will have a continued tournament presence as he has become the leader and supervisor of Bandai Namco's Fighting Game eSports Strategy team.

We still don't have any confirmation about future DLC content for Dragon Ball FighterZ. However, Rooflemonger has noted some very interesting trends that seem to be indicative that the next season will be announced very soon.

Firstly, it was pointed out that Dragon Ball FighterZ's Downloadable Content page on Steam has seven unknown entries that appeared about a month ago. Notably, there is also an eighth app that has been present for about four months now. It's highly probable that something is being worked on for the game.

Bandai Namco also released a World Tour Saga 1 Event Recap trailer to get everyone hype for the Red Bull Final Summoning event that will take place on January 26th and conclude on the 27th in Los Angeles. In the comments section, some fans have attempted to press Bandai Namco about potential details regarding a Season 2 — which Bandai Namco have been responding to.

Rooflemonger has collected some interesting responses from Bandai Namco where they outright state that there will be some surprises at the big finals. When someone stated that "if you get all seven Dragon Balls, you can wish [for the next] FighterZ character," they responded by stating that they "had this in mind too."

Giving the player that wins the Red Bull Final Summoning event the ability to "wish" for any character to join the fight in Dragon Ball FighterZ would be a very awesome reward. We'll just have to wait and see if events actually unfold that way.

Although Rooflemonger seems convinced that Season 2 is all but confirmed at this point, it's important to remember that this is all speculation. Still, there's a lot of that supports his theory that Season 2 could be on the way. Remember to hype responsibly.
