SonicFox experiences a strange ghostly glitch during a Mortal Kombat X match

Could it be the apparition of someone in particular?

Mortal Kombat 11's release will be here before we know it in April, and some of the top NetherRealm Studios fighting game players appear to be prepping for the new title by playing its predecessor once again.

Injustice 2 Pro Series champion and multi-EVO winner FOX|SonicFox recently held a Mortal Kombat X livestream with other top NRS players, Noble|Rewind and Noble|Semiij, where an interesting, funny and slightly creepy glitch would happen during a match.

While in the middle of a Kotal Khan mirror match between Rewind and Semiij, the character model of a monk on the Sky Temple stage can very briefly be seen in the background which caused SonicFox to begin exclaiming about the odd figure.

Monks normally appear on the stage as an interactable 'item' that can be thrown at the opponent, but this one was a bit different as instead of praying, he stood in a T-pose facing away from the camera before disappearing just as quickly as he came.

The other two may have been too focused on the match, but SonicFox immediately pointed out the strange happening by yelling "yo, what the ****?" and asking everyone else if they saw that in a clip that he's uploaded to his Twitter account.

This is far from the first glitch in a Mortal Kombat game and will likely be far from the last either, but you can take a look at bugged monk in the clip below — featuring NSFW language — along with a screenshot of the still-frame of Mr. T-pose.
