We're excited to share with you some brilliant visual game fusions today as Raf Grassetti, art director for 2018's God of War) has created some of the cast of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as though they shared a universe with Kratos.

Characters like Fox McCloud, Samus Aran and Link undergo makeovers that remove them from the more lighthearted world of Super Smash Bros., and instead imagine them as much more realistic and rugged.

Grassetti's take on Sonic the Hedgehog is great, and perhaps should be considered by Paramount Pictures considering the amount of backlash their initial Sonic the Hedgehog film teaser trailer got them... or maybe the character just needs to stay on the cartoon side of the spectrum.

That brings us to Bowser, who certainly looks like he could be one of the most gruesome and intimidating bosses the God of War franchise has ever seen. The king of all koopas looks like a near impervious mound of hard shell, leathery skin and sharp edges.

Grassetti has also offered his take on two characters from the Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite roster in both Nova and Ultron. You can view the gallery featuring all the aforementioned characters below, and please tell us what you think in the comments after.
