Nintendo Direct now live

Update: The Nintendo Direct is now live.

Earlier: Just yesterday, we learned that Nintendo will be hosting one of their classic Directs today. This will take place at 2:00 p.m. PST / 5:00 p.m. EST on YouTube and Twitch.

The program is said to last roughly 35 minutes. We know for a fact that we'll be receiving information about the upcoming Fire Emblem: Three Houses title for the Nintendo Switch.

Of course, some of us are hoping to see some new Super Smash Bros. Ultimate announcements during the Nintendo Direct. There are predictions out there that suggest we might see Joker's gameplay for the first time.

Players already have access to the Piranha Plant who served as Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's first post-launch character. Rumors and speculation suggest that Square Enix will be receiving another representative to fight alongside (or against) Cloud Strife.

Even outside of the Piranha Plant and Joker, we know that there will be at least four additional fighters scheduled to join the roster before February 2020. Each character that's present in the Fighter's Pass (does not include the Piranha Plant) will come with a character, a stage, and music.

Of course, there's a possibility we may receive news about other fighting games other than Super Smash Bros. Mortal Kombat 11 is notably coming to the Nintendo Switch on April 23, 2019.
