The Steam database may have just revealed Erron Black as a character in Mortal Kombat 11

It's not for certain, but betting on Black sounds like a good strategy right now

Easily and unequivocally the coolest newcomer to the Mortal Kombat franchise, MKX's Erron Black was basically what you'd get if Roland Deschain (of Stephen King's Dark Tower series) found his way into Outworld.

The cowboy that could go toe to toe with the best of Mortal Kombat's long list of formidable fighters was one of the more popular inclusions in the franchise's previous entry, and it's starting to look like he'll be coming back for more here in 2019.

The Steam Database has been updated to show a handful of Mortal Kombat 11's trophy achievements, if still in a somewhat encoded form. Some of these call for players to pull off certain quantities of Brutalities, others ask for excessive bloodshed during a single match but most reference characters directly.

Of the 12 trophies shown, six of them simply ask that players perform two Fatalities with specific characters. The characters seem to represented by the first three letters of their names, as we see "SON" for Sonya, "BAR" for Baraka, "SUB" for Sub-Zero and so forth.

One such line reads "ERR" which appear to be indicating Erron Black considering he's the only kombatant in franchise history whose name begins with "ERR."

This isn't an official reveal and it there's always the possibility that NetherRealm Studios has placed this here on purpose for the sake of misdirection, but we wouldn't be at all surprised to see Black joining D'Vorah as an MKX returner. Here's a quick look at the highlighted evidence:
