Koei Tecmo recently unveiled another fighter set to join the Dead or Alive 6 roster. Raidou, "The Regeneration Of Brutality," officially enters the fray, and the company has now released his first-ever gameplay trailer.

With red energy emitting from his body, Raidou deals with opponents by utilizing big, powerful strikes. He also appears to have a command throw that has a pop-up follow up attack, which allows him to continue to combo after.

One of Raidou's most interesting attacks in this Dead or Alive 6 trailer, though, is that which sees him grab the opponent, lift them up by the neck, then proceed to hit them with a series of tiny slaps. This move looks like it succeeds more in embarrassing the opponent than damaging them, but Raidou does end it with a hard hit that sends his foe flying backward.

Team Ninja's official description of Raidou in Dead or Alive 6 is as follows:

"With Mugen Tenshin Ninjutsu as a base, he uses his mimicry skills to copy various powerful moves of other styles as well. He favors a power-focused fighting style, making use of his colossal physique, using both moves stolen from others, and his own, such as the Tenho-Gorai-Sho and the Rekku-Jinraisatsu.

"Raidou was thought to be killed during an explosion after the first DEAD OR ALIVE tournament, but his body was secretly recovered and experimented on using DOATEC’s biotechnology, and while that leaves Raidou without a mind of his own, he has now devolved into a madman who only craves strength and destruction."

Dead or Alive 6 is headed to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on March 1st.
