There is a chaotic Christmas-themed tower going on right now in Mortal Kombat 11 that will net you some great skins and holiday items
Random sleighs, snowstorms, candy canes, and more await those who dare to challenge it
Mortal Kombat 11's Towers of Time are a series of ever-changing ladders that pit the player against various opponents with different objectives, effects, and criteria orchestrating the battle. It is not uncommon for NetherRealm Studios (NRS) to celebrate holidays in-game by creating special towers that are centered around the day, and with today being Christmas fans can hop into MK11 and play through a Christmas-themed tower right now.
Entitled "Winter Wonderland," this tower sets players on a path to face off against a handful of icy foes. Those who complete the tower will be rewarded with new skins and various holiday items.
Three opponents make up the three individual ladders you'll be prompted to complete in the Winter Wonderland tower. Cetrion, Frost, and finally Sub-Zero are the characters you will face, and each battle has its own crazy stipulations and effects that you'll have to endure while fighting them.
Against Cetrion, you'll find candy canes (sorry, kandy kanes) randomly pop up on screen that give you an insane speed boost if you pick one up. All the while, shards of ice are raining down and weird elves dressed like Santa Claus will slide by on sleighs knocking you down.
In the second battle, players are expected to defeat Frost while the screen is dark. A large menorah in the background slowly lights up, granting you better sight, but the powerful opponent and her armor that negates hitstun will likely have put you down before all of the candles are lit.
The final battle with Sub-Zero brings back the hail and sleighs, but also adds another hazard to watch out for. Periodically throughout the match, a string of Christmas lights will shoot across the screen, entrapping you and leaving you vulnerable to an attack if they hit you.

This tower isn't too difficult to complete, especially if you use konsumables to help you work your way through. For defeating each opponent, you will gain a new skin (the one used by your opponent), as well as a skin per fight for the character you're playing.
You will also be given new Christmas-themed backgrounds, icons, and konsumables, including that dastardly set of Christmas lights.
The Winter Wonderland tower will be up and running for another three days or so. If you're looking to snag some new skins and get your fighting game fix this Christmas, this special Mortal Kombat 11 challenge is the perfect way to do it.
