Ardyn Izunia from Final Fantasy 15 is the next character to join Dissidia Final Fantasy NT as DLC
We're fast approaching the second anniversary of Dissidia Final Fantasy NT's western launch, but the original arcade version of the game just celebrated its fourth year since release with a special stream from Square Enix.
During said live stream this morning, Square revealed Dissidia NT's next DLC character will be Ardyn Izunia, better known as the central antagonist of Final Fantasy 15.
Story spoilers for Final Fantasy 15 follow. Since Ardyn comes from the same royal bloodline as protagonist Noctis, he also wields the power to summon weapons on command and summon himself to them.
Unlike Noctis, however, the exiled prince also has a number of ranged spells at his disposal to help him play from the mid-range where he can then warp strike in on the first opening he sees.
Ardyn also has a bonus outfit to match his flashback appearance from his DLC episode back in FF15 making him look much more regal... and less evil. Speaking of new costumes, Sephiroth will also receive his final boss form as DLC along with a new design for Rinoa on the same date as Ardyn.
The Final Fantasy boss is slated to drop for the arcade game on December 24 though PlayStation 4 and PC users will be able to purchase him starting January 9, 2020. You can check out Ardyn's reveal trailer below.
