Gill's V-Trigger 1 Primal Fire projectiles can overpower essentially every other projectile in Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition
Capable of beating Ryu and Dhalsim's Critical Arts like nothing
Gill was released as Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition's 39th character not too long ago. Although players are still working towards figuring out the intricacies of Gill's mechanics, it seems that the preferred V-Trigger right now is the V-Trigger 2 โ also known as Ice of Doom.
As pointed out by TheComeBackKid, V-Trigger 1 โ Primal Fire โ might be a bit underrated. With this V-Trigger chosen, Gill is able to summon powerful flaming meteors from the sky as projectiles.
The unique thing about these meteors is how they interact with other projectiles. It seems that these flaming meteors are capable of completely negating projectiles that it comes into contact with.
Funnily enough, this V-Trigger is also capable of beating Ryu and Dhalsim's Critical Arts. Note that these particular attacks cost three bars of meter and have multiple hits attached to them.
Strangely, M. Bison's EX Psycho Blast (essentially the Psycho Ball) does not dissipate when it collides with the Primal Fire. Despite this, the hitbox of the attack will no longer exist.
While it does appear that this V-Trigger is capable of winning zoning wars for Gill, do keep in mind that there's a lot of recovery involved with this technique.
