Update: Street Fighter 5's servers are now down for maintenance. You can go ahead and download the 24.308 GB patch on the PlayStation 4 version.

Earlier: Capcom Cup may be done and over with now for 2019, but the night is still young for all of the Street Fighter 5 players around the world hoping to get their hands on the new content coming very soon.

The official Street Fighter 5 Server Status Twitter account reveals that server maintenance for the game is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. PT tonight and last until midnight PT to assumedly update the game to Version 5.0.

As with other major updates, players will likely be able to play Street Fighter 5 Season 5 as soon as they download the update though they will not be able to access online features or purchase Gill in-game until the maintenance has ended.

This also comes the night before Capcom is set to open up open beta registration for the upcoming online tournament mode with two periods scheduled to take place between December 21–22.

Patch notes have not yet been released yet for Version 5.0 though players at the Capcom Cup after party are reporting changes like nerfs to Karin's throw loops, removal of Akuma's whiffed fireball into V-Trigger activation and what the V-Skill 2's do in application.

We'll keep you updated once the new update goes live and work to get patch notes ups as soon as they're made available.
