Following the wrap of Capcom Cup 2019, Yoshinori Ono took to the stage alongside Kenny Omega to reveal the trailer for Seth in Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition though we won't need to wait long to try out the other content coming to the fifth season of the fighting game.

Gill, V-Skill 2 for each of the current 39 characters and the season 5 balance patch will launch later tonight, December 15, though they do not appear to be live just yet.

Though it was hard to make out, Ono did confirm the news on stage which was then backed up by the ending slide of the stream telling everyone to stick around for the after party plus the new content dropping tonight.

The new trailer accompanying the reveal also gave us a new look at some of the V-Skills coming to the game with the latest expansion including Guile, Zangief, Sagat, Vega, Abigail and Menat.

Guile can shoot a Sonic Boom while airborne, Zangief strikes a pose and does a donkey kick which can wall bounce if fully charged, Sagat's powers up his Tiger Knee, Vega gets a horizontal wall dive, Abigail summons a tire and Menat receives Rose's drill.

Players who pre-ordered the Champion Edition upgrade DLC should receive Gill when he launches tonight automatically though he'll also be available for the standard $5.99 or 100,000 Fight Money if you really want to download him separately — though the Capcom Unity blog post is a bit confusing in its wording.

We won't need to wait too much longer to try them for ourselves, as server maintenance is set to begin at 8 p.m. PT meaning we might be using them in Version 5.0 in about an hour if we're lucky.

Players will not need to purchase the $25 expansion to receive the new update, V-Skills and balance update though it will give you access to pretty much every costume and stage currently in the game.

Those looking to play around with Seth will need to wait a few more months, as the completely redesigned boss of SF4 will launch with the physical release of Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition on February 14, 2020.
