The Arby's Fight Stick was an actual product for sale as a one-of-a-kind item on the chain's online shop

Maybe technically two-of-a-kind?

Whoever it is who runs the Arby's marketing strategy apparently has quite the love for fighting games considering they've referenced the genre multiple times, and even shown up to events like EVO where they brought some crazy stuff like a cardboard replica of Nightmare from Soul Calibur.

The fast food chain also showed off an Arby's-branded Qanba fight stick with an apparently cardboard faceplate to EVO 2018, and the company even recently added custom controller to its online store for purchase — though it's already sold out.

The Arby's Fight Stick is a PlayStation Qanba Dragon and was priced at $350. The listing says there was only one of them up for sale making it a one-of-a-kind collector's item... sort of.

Taking a closer look at the stick reveals that the one for sale wasn't actually the same one from EVO 2018 since they have completely different buttons and joystick. The original had black buttons, a silver stick top and extra cardboard around the borders.

'What happened to the original stick then' you ask. Well it was actually given away to the Soul Calibur 6 exhibition winner at EVO, LinkRKC, where producer Motohiro Okubo presented it on stage.

My only guess to its existence is the stick was created as something of an advertising prop as a Twitter user posted a screenshot of an Arby's ad for the shop with an office worker holding up the controller. They probably just decided why the hell not just sell it since they no longer needed it around.

We may never know who wields the second Arby's stick now, but it's part of the company's limited edition Holiday Collection — including meat wrapping paper, an Arby's holiday glass, and dishware.
