Update: New PlayStation State of Play now live

Will there be any fighting game news to share?

Update: The stream is now live.

The last PlayStation State of Play program of 2019 will begin shortly starting at 6 a.m. PT / 9 a.m. ET to catch the latest news about upcoming PlayStation 4 titles plus new announcements.

This stream bears a lot of seemingly intentional similarities to Nintendo Directs. Fans are provided with an opportunity to get some insight on what gaming companies are working on.

Although the PlayStation 5 has already been officially announced, we haven't actually seen the console in action. Note that it's scheduled for a Holiday 2020 release.

Unfortunately, it's already been confirmed that there won't be any details about the PlayStation 5 this time around. "And it probably bears repeating: Don’t expect any updates related to our next-gen plans in this episode," stated the PlayStation Blog. In other words, we probably won't be learning more about the PlayStation 5 until 2020 is upon us.

Of course, we'll be keeping an eye for information regarding fighting games during the State of Play program. As always, we'll provide any coverage for anything that's relevant to the fighting game community.

We should expect around 20 minutes of news, game reveals, and updates.
