Rumor: New data mined content from the latest Dragon Ball FighterZ patch further supports a Season 3

Dragon Ball Super Broly will be releasing for Dragon Ball FighterZ tomorrow on December 5. The patch for the game has already been released in preparation for Season 2's final character.

Official confirmation of a Season 3 has not yet been unveiled by the developers. Having said that, there appears to be plenty of evidence that supports the existence of a third season.

As reported on previously, the character select screen for Dragon Ball FighterZ has created some peculiar empty spaces ever since Gogeta was released. Data mining has revealed the existence of files like "CmnBG_S3" and "CharaSelect_S3."

The "S3" part of these files really seem to hint heavily at a future season. Fascinatingly enough, additional files with a similar naming convention were added in this most recent update.

In the "Teaching" directory (added during the Gogeta patch), new icons have appeared in the game's code with the latest update. A "PlayerCard_S3" file has also recently emerged with the Super Broly update.

Rooflemonger has released a video that goes into further detail regarding these phenomenons. Of course, do bear in mind that there doesn't appear to be any information regarding new character slots at this particular moment.
