You'll be able to transform Street Fighter 5's Cody into Vergil from Devil May Cry soon and the first step starts today
Cody's Extra Battle crossover campaign sees its first challenge go live
Street Fighter 5 continues its constant stream of crossover costumes via Extra Battle mode. As one four-week campaign finishes and a new costume is unlocked, another begins to take its place.
This week sees the beginning of the latest campaign, which will unlock a Devil May Cry costume when all is said and done. Those who want to transform Cody into the sword wielding Vergil can get the process started today.
Like the crossover campaigns that came before it, Cody's Extra Battle outfit can be unlocked by completing four missions over the course of the next four weeks. Successfully conquering each challenge rewards you with an item, and you'll need all four items to access the costume once the campaign concludes.
Each challenge sees you fighting Cody dressed up in the Vergil costume you seek, and every attempt at defeating him will run you 2,500 Fight Money. Thankfully, the difficulty on this opponent isn't very high, so you shouldn't have to spend much more than 10,000 FM by the end of the process for your reward.
On top of the first Vergil costume challenge, you can also hop into Extra Battle to take on a couple of missions that will net you some sweet Devil May Cry-themed background music.
There are two missions live right now, and completing them will score you some rockin' tunes for Vergil, Nero, and Dante.
These music challenges will only run you 1,000 FM per attempt, so they should be a quick and easy score for everyone.
