'You shouldn't tease characters half a year in advance unless fans already know it's going to take that long' - TrueUnderDawg on Mortal Kombat 11 DLC

Lot's of wins with this reveal, but also a few head-scratchers

While the recent Mortal Kombat 11 Kombat Pack character reveal was surely an overall win, but there have certainly been some negative reactions to two aspects in particular: Joker's inclusion and design, and Spawn's distant release date.

True Under Dawg Gaming serves as something of a community chorus in his recent video as he breaks down both the good and the bad of said reveal.

While he certainly makes sense as a Mortal Kombat guest, the Joker does not seem to be the first choice for a significant portion of the MK fan base. Some are thrilled to see him, but many have been expecting Evil Dead's Ash Williams (thanks to rumors and a chainsaw sound at the end of the Shang Tsung reveal).

The updated younger-looking Joker is also turning a few fans off, but that really comes down to personal preference as the community as a whole isn't gravitating towards objectively deeming the design as bad.

The release dates for each of the four remaining characters were shown as well, and the fact that Spawn won't be out until close to the game's one year anniversary isn't exactly sitting well with fans.

True Under Dawg speaks to all of this, offers his personal opinions and reactions, and theorizes about motivations and how things will ultimately play out.
