Portal punches, reality distortion and the Stardust Breaker: Anime references for Janemba and Gogeta in Dragon Ball FighterZ

Outside of maybe Broly, Janemba and Gogeta are probably the most popular movie-exclusive Dragon Ball characters around having appeared fairly prominently in different games and mediums, so it's nice to see all of the attention to detail put into their inclusions in Dragon Ball FighterZ.

Content creator IKevinX is back with another anime references breakdown Janemba and Gogeta in DBFZ trying to find where each of their attacks originate from with some frame-by-frame recreations from their Fusion Reborn film.

Starting off with his introduction, Janemba's transformation sequence from his large yellow self to his demonic super form is straight from the scene in the movie including the melting globs of flesh shrinking down to create an entirely new body.

Most of Janemba's sword swings, punches and kicks are also references to his fighting scenes though he actually appears to borrow his portal stomp from his larger self, and his special that creates a bunch of different portals shooting projectiles appears to be a powered up attack from a different game entirely.

We've only seen Gogeta very briefly at the end of the EVO trailer but IKevinX was able to pull out a bunch of references mostly tied to the Dragon Ball Super: Broly movie from last year including his awesome-looking supers.

You can check out the videos below to see just how much detail Arc System Works continues to put into their new characters' source material for Dragon Ball FighterZ.
