No Ash Williams after all it seems... yet

The big day is finally upon us with NetherRealm Studios telling us exactly which new fighters will be joining Mortal Kombat 11 via its first Kombat Pack considering there were still two we were left in the dark on.

The Terminator and DC's Joker were revealed in the new Kombat Pack trailer showing off how each of the DLC will look plus their release dates in Mortal Kombat 11 including Sindel, Spawn and the previously released Shang Tsung and Nightwolf.

Arnold Schwarzenegger's T-800 from the Terminator franchise will be the next fighter to hit MK11 on October 8 likely to coincide with the release of the new Terminator: Dark Fate film the same month. Also, of course he has his shotgun.

The last character players will receive for 2019 will apparently be the queen of scream herself in Sindel with her date scheduled for November 26.

To kick off 2020 with a bang, DC's infamous Joker villain will be making the jump from the Injustice universe to Mortal Kombat in January sporting a fairly different look from what he had going in NRS's other fighting game series. He is seen holding a cane which will likely be incorporated into his move set in some fashion.

Last but certainly not least of all, Spawn will be the final character of Kombat Pack 1 with his release likely coming a bit later than fans were hoping on March 17, 2020. His iconic hellish chains are also shown off in the trailer, so expect that to be worked into a good number of his specials too.

Most of you have probably realized that this roster does not include Ash Williams from the Evil Dead series. The character had appeared in the early leak lists that contained all of these other fighters though his actor, Bruce Campbell has denied multiple times that Ash will be playable in MK11.

The initial teaser trailer for the Kombat Pack appeared to tease Ash's inclusion in MK11 with the chainsaw sound effect seemingly pointing to his chainsaw arm, but it now appears to have been a misdirection on NetherRealm's part though he could certainly still show up in a future DLC pass.

Mortal Kombat 11's Kombat Pack is available to download on all platforms for $39.99 though it's currently on sale for PlayStation 4 users for $29.99.

NetherRealm's latest endeavor is also currently the best selling game of 2019 thus far in the United States with MK11 also quickly becoming the fifth top selling fighting game ever behind MKX and three Super Smash Bros. titles.

There is a very strong chance that Mortal Kombat 11 will see a Kombat Pack 2 at some point in 2020 given that the game's code alluded to more characters not found in this pass. Spoiler alert for future potential content. Ash Williams, Fujin and Sheeva were also among those who had intro dialogue discovered in the game's files that actually lined up with Shang Tsung's and Nightwolf's now that they've been released.
