The new Mortal Kombat film adaptation is still about a year and a half from hitting theaters, but the studios are still hard at work finding their team of action stars to make up the roster of characters.

Four new casting choices for Mortal Kombat have been revealed with Liu Kang, Raiden, Jax and Mileena bringing in talent from other shows and movies like Marvel's Thor, Power Rangers and Supergirl.

Liu Kang will be played by actor Ludi Lin according to a report from Variety, who you may recognize as the Black Ranger Zack from the most recent Power Rangers movie or as Lance from the recent Striking Vipers episode of Black Mirror.

The role of the thunder god Raiden will fall upon the shoulders of Japanese actor Tadanobu Asano likely most well-known for his role as Hogun in Marvel's Thor films.

As for Jax, Supergirl actor Mehcad Brooks will become the military man with metal arms saying that he's honored, humble and ready for the role while Mileena will be played by a relative newcomer in the space with Sisi Stringer.

Previously, The Raid's Joe Taslim was revealed as Sub-Zero for the upcoming Mortal Kombat meaning that we're now up to five confirmed roles.

The James Wan-produced Mortal Kombat film is scheduled to begin filming later in 2019 in Adelaide, Australia. Its current scheduled release date for theaters is March 3, 2021.
