Daigo inspired to briefly play Ryu in Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition after match defeat to the character

We don't typically get too many opportunities to see CYG|Daigo play Ryu in Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition. After nerfs in Season 1, the character fell off hard.

As a result of this, Daigo hasn't tried to compete with Ryu since the beginning era of Season 2. These days, Daigo is mostly known for his Guile.

Every now and again, however, Daigo is willing to revisit the iconic Shoto in random online matches.

FGC Translated recently posted a video that showcased some of Daigo's recent online matches. While practicing Zeku, Daigo ended up suffering a loss against a Ryu user.

It appears that Daigo became momentarily inspired to pull out his own Ryu after this defeat. At this point, his opponent was playing Karin.

As with FGC Translated's other videos, a translation of what Daigo says is provided within the video. Although Ryu tends to struggle against a number of top tiers, Daigo hypothesizes that Ryu actually functions fairly well in the Karin match up with smart fireball usage.
