No one draws Chun-Li quite like Akiman

Suddenly we feel like Chun could use a few new costumes...

No matter how many times different artists from around the globe draw the now-iconic characters from the Street Fighter universe, there's a certain touch that only Akira "Akiman" Yasuda can put on them.

That's probably because Akiman was the one to first put pen to paper when it came to the Street Fighter 2 World Warriors all the back in the early 1990's. Though he hasn't been with Capcom since 2003, he still cranks out gorgeous works of fighting game art as a freelance artist.

While perusing Twitter, we came across some of Akiman's more recent work and thought we'd share it with you all today.

A good portion of this gallery features the strongest woman in the world, Chun-Li, but also includes a few guests both from the Street Fighter roster and beyond.

Marvel's X-Men, specifically some of those featured in the Marvel vs. Capcom titles, take a break from dishing out the Versus game pain to pose for us, and we get an interesting take on Street Fighter Cross Tekken art as Kazuya gives Ryu the stink eye.

Check out the 12-image gallery below and let us know which of these are your favorites. Also, we won't be the least bit upset if Capcom decides to give Chun yet another Street Fighter 5 costume as long as it's the one from image three...
