Mike Ross dusts off his Ultra Street Fighter 4 E. Honda and takes on LI Joe at Barfights

Something about combos and resets

It's been a while since I've seen this big of a smile on Mike Ross' face, but I suppose I shouldn't be all that surprised as Street Fighter 4 was (is) a game that tends to have this kind of effect on its players.

The beautiful people at Cross Counter put on yet another rendition of EVO Barfights this year, and one of the most notable bullet points on the fight card was an exhibition between Mike Ross and LI Joe in Ultra Street Fighter 4.

While E. Honda has indeed been in many a headline recently due to his recent entrance into Street Fighter 5, at no point was the character more popular in community eyes than when Ross was making waves with him circa 2010.

Mike's uncanny abilities to somehow read opponents' tendencies and make the right moves when it mattered most significantly contributed to the overwhelming levels of charisma he and his Honda reached. Never was this more palpable than during his EVO 2010 run to, and a good way through, top eight.

Joe brings out his trusty Sagat for the bout, which meant an immediate uphill battle for a character like E. Honda. We won't spoil how things play out but will say that these two competitors did anything but disappoint.

Give this nostalgic exhibition a watch and then share your favorite Mike Ross Street Fighter 4 moment in the comments once you're done.
