Could Meta Knight be a sleeper top tier in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate? This 0-to-death combo definitely comes across as being quite promising

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has been available for over half a year at this point. By now, we have a pretty strong idea about which characters are top tier based on results and abilities.

Then again, there's always a sleeper top tier that eventually turns up after an allotted amount of time has expired. A combo posted by Charliedaking really demonstrates the scary potential of Meta Knight in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

In Super Smash Bros. 4, Meta Knight was known for having a 0-to-death combo which worked particularly well against floaty characters like Rosalina and Peach. For some time, it looked as though Meta Knight's gameplan in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was going to be different as these 0-to-death combos haven't been quite as prominent so far.

This combo that was posted had Meta Knight inflict 69.4% damage on Cloud before taking his stock. Cloud is often looked at as one of the game's fast fallers.

Meta Knight ended up catching Cloud with a back aerial then fell fast to the ground to land quickly. From here, the dash attack appeared to combo naturally.

Then came the familiar up air strings. Just like with Smash 4, Cloud's stock was ended with Meta Knight performing an up special — the Shuttle Loop — near the top of the screen.
