SNK changed up their DLC plans for Samurai Shodown a bit during EVO 2019, but their schedule for the first month of new content did not with the Season Pass 1 content jumping into the game this week.

Rimururu is now available to download and play in Samurai Shodown on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as part of the game's Season Pass or for individual purchase.

As Nakoruru's younger sister, Rimururu is another priestess in training with control over the powers of ice making her a formidable foe despite being so young.

The new character is free for those who already own SamSho's Season Pass, but Rimururu's standalone price comes out to $5.99 for players looking to pick her up individually. Now that the free period to pick up the Season Pass is over it has gone up to its regular price of $19.99.

Samurai Shodown's next DLC character will be free for everyone regardless of whether or not they own the Season Pass with Shizumaru Hisame in September. Basara will pick things back up in October followed by Kazuki Kazama in November and Wan-Fu closing things out in December — making that a character every month in 2019 instead of two months as per the original plan.

Season 2 for Samurai Shodown will kick off in 2020 with fan-favorite Mina Majikina followed by three more unannounced characters. SNK also officially revealed that King of Fighters 15 is currently in development at EVO 2019.
