Official character introduction videos for E. Honda, Poison and Lucia in Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition

Matthew Edwards is back with more introduction videos for the latest Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition characters, E. Honda, Poison and Lucia.

Edwards is the Community & Esports Manager at Capcom, and his videos not only serve as an introduction to the new fighters, but some of the combos and tactics he outlines are known to serve as a terrific way to get your hands dirty.

You get to see bread and butter combos and setups for the three new cast members, along with a run through their core move sets.

It's very clear from the start that E. Honda is a high damage fighter. His Hundred Hand Slaps are all safe on block, with the light version being +2 and the heavy being -2.

A few of the combos showcased for Honda drain more than 50% of the opponent's health. This guy hits like a truck.

Poison has some unique mobility options, and some deceptive moves to go along with them, which will likely make her a slippery character.

On the more wild side of things, her V-Trigger 2 unlocks two command grabs, one from point blank, but another where her whip travels about 3/4ths screen distance — and both of these command grabs can be landed mid-combo.

Poison's range and combos from her whip look to be quite strong, and it appears she will be one of the few mid-range zoners in Street Fighter 5.

Lastly, there's Lucia, who's an up in your face brawler type. She looks to be heavily based around rushing the opponent down, with options that either leave her plus on hit and in the face of the opponent, or with okizeme pressure.

You might want to get used to blocking, as it seems like Lucia's game revolves heavily on long block strings and frame traps.

Lucia sports a 3f normal, invincible EX reversal, a run and a Dhalsim-like arcing projectile. She'll probably fall into the common SF5 rushdown archetype that we've seen quite often before in this game.
