After a few months of waiting and many teasers, NetherRealm Studios has finally released the full gameplay trailer for the next DLC character coming to Mortal Kombat 11 in the spiritual fighter of Nightwolf.

Nightwolf appears to have many of his signature moves and specials in tact for his big return alongside some new weaponry added to his arsenal including the ability to wield the powers of lightning.

His introduction shows him walking in alongside the spirits of the wolf and bear before admonishing Kabal for working with Kano and defiling his native lands.

Immediately jumping into his gameplay, Nightwolf takes out his new blade that he carries on his back to perform some powerful swings before busting out his glowing green spirit bow to pierce through the revenant with the ability to hold down the notched arrow until he wants to fire.

We're then treated to the revived warrior summoning the bear spirit to give himself some sort of orange aura that likely gives Nightwolf a buff of some kind like Kotal Kahn, as we see Kabal's projectile blades simply bounce off of him in that state. The wolf spirit can give him a blue aura as well.

It wouldn't be Nightwolf without his trusty tomahawk either, as the trailer shows him dual wielding it and his blade on multiple occasions and using it to call lightning down upon his opponent.

The ending of the trailer confirms that Nightwolf will launch for Kombat Pack owners on Tuesday, August 13, while players looking to pick him up individually will need to wait an extra week until August 20. A Klassic Arcade Fighter Skin Pack will also be hitting early access on August 13 showing off more old school designs for Kung Lao, Jax and Kano.
