Samurai Shodown characters slice up noodles instead of each other in Nissin Noodles collaboration commercial

Samurai Shodown is returning in a big way in June 2019. We haven't seen a title for this series since 2009.

It seems that Samurai Shodown is now collaborating with other companies for advertisements. Nostalgic Factor has uploaded a video that showcases a recent collaboration with Nissin Noodles.

The scene depicts Haohmaru and Ukyo Tachibana in what appears to be a samurai standoff. Eventually, they are both shown slashing their blades in the direction of one another.

Instead of attacking each other, however, they ended up slicing a bunch of noodles. They then proceed with eating them.

Obviously since the commercial is intended to advertise Nissin Noodles, both fighters are shown to greatly enjoy their meal. A chibi version of Nakoruru is also present.

After slurping down the noodles, it appears that both fighters go at it for real at the conclusion of the commercial.
