A new trailer has been revealed for Mortal Kombat 11. We get to see new story elements for the upcoming title.

Also note that this is our first glimpse on how Mortal Kombat 11 runs on the Nintendo Switch. We even see it in hand held mode.

The trailer goes on for a minute and 28 seconds. It looks like the Nintendo Switch version holds up pretty well graphically and performance wise.

Past versions of Liu Kang and Kung Lao are seen travelling through a temple of dead Shaolin Monks as the opening scene of the trailer. Soon after that, Sonya is heard saying that the Earthrealm forces need to take out Netherrealm's army as they aren't ready for yet another war.

Meanwhile, it looks as though the past version of Kitana is trying to strike an alliance with Baraka and the Tarkatan army. We also see a number of situations that has characters interacting with their past or future selves again.

For example, the future version of Johnny Cage notices how he suddenly has a scar on his face after his past self is grazed by a bullet. This puts the younger Johnny Cage in a frenzied state causing the future version to worry that he's going to get them both killed.

Remember that Mortal Kombat 11 will be released on April 23, 2019 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and the PC.
