The fighting game market has in the past year or so became the most content rich in new games and continued support compared to pretty much any other time in the past decade which has led to eSports ventures and professional circuits for almost every major title currently being played.

BEast of the East, the tournament organizers behind some of Asia's biggest fighting game events like Thaiger Uppercut, Versus Masters and SEA Major, has announced that Soul Calilbur 6 will be receiving the pro circuit treatment via the new SoulCalibur Asia League where thousands of dollars will be on the line.

The SoulCalibur Asia League will span across six major events on the continent beginning in just a few weeks with Versus Masters on April 27–28 and culminating in the League Finals at SEA Major 2019 on October 12–13.

Winners of each of the five Battle Stage tournaments will receive flight and hotel accommodations for SEA Major along with $500 USD and special seeding for the finals which will boast a prize pool of $6,000 in an open bracket.

While this may not be as large of a venture as the Tekken or Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tours, SoulCalibur Asia League does mark Bandai Namco's third major pro circuit for their fighting game franchises which are all running concurrently through 2019.

The full announcement, information and rules can be found on BEast of the East's website, and the full schedule for SoulCalibur Asia League's inaugural run can be found in the gallery below.
