Johnny Cage's second Fatality has the actor turn his opponent into a bloody hand puppet: NetherRealm Studios talks favorite Mortal Kombat 11 finishers

Your ventriloquism needs some work my dude

Mortal Kombat 11 features some of the grossest and over the top Fatality finishers in the franchise's 27-year history which is really saying something now that we've got skin-crawling killers like D'Vorah's recently revealed spider baby takeover.

NetherRealm Studios, the company responsible for creating these bloody scenes for over two decades, released a new video detailing the development teams' favorite Fatalities in MK11 where Johnny Cage's second ender appeared to be the most popular of the bunch. We previously hadn't seen it before, so NRS decided to show us what the actor has been practicing in his spare time.

Using Geras as his dummy, Cage shoves his fist through the time traveler's spine before kicking off the lower half of his body. Once the fighter stops screaming, a spotlight appears above Johnny, and he puts on a cheesy ventriloquism act where he makes a bad pun about doing the splits. The "audience" then begins to boo and throw tomatoes at them to add even more insult to injury.

This Fatality continues the trend of showing off Cage's goofier side like in Mortal Kombat X where he'd tear open someone's torso before peaking through and saying "here's johnny" in reference to the famous scene from The Shining.

For the other favorite enders in MK 11, series co-creator Ed Boon reveals that the one he likes the most is of course Scorpion's from the very first announcement trailer where he shoots the iconic spear through the flying head of his enemy.

You can take a look at Johnny Cage's new Fatality in the clip below where there will obviously be a good bit of NSFW imagery — and make sure you turn the sound on to hear the extra bad jokes.
