Many of the best fighting game players in the world reside within Japan, and some of them recently got together to show off their other talents outside of combos and frame data by busting out their singing voices.

CYG|Daigo Umehara held a special karaoke tournament this past weekend where fighting game players and the public gathered to belt out their favorite songs and anime openings for a chance at winning prizes and acknowledgement from the Beast himself alongside CYG|Fuudo as a judge as well.

Fighting game players in attendance at Daigo's second karaoke competition included CAG|Go1, Eita, Comp|Hatsume, Mago and Nuki, who had apparently won last years event which was exclusive to players.

Dozens of other competitors were also in attendance including cosplayers dressed up as Street Fighter's Guile and Sakura with the former singing about the USA while holding up signs of his character and the latter performing Sakura's Alpha intro before her song.

Go1 busted out 'Tough Boy' from Fist of the North Star which showed his talents reach far beyond the arcade sticks while Mago sang 'Goldfinger 99' which is based on 'Livin' La Vida Loca' reportedly saying that he had once sang the song at a party, cried and then went home.

Daigo himself didn't compete, but he did recently show off his dance moves with CYG|Gamerbee and RB|Bonchan. You can check out a number of the fighters turned singers in the clips below plus the full archive here, and let us know who your favorite was in the comments section.
