Soul Calibur 6 to receive an open network test for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One beginning September 28

We're now less than a month away from the release of Soul Calibur 6 in October, but it looks like we won't need to wait too much longer to get our hands on the game in the comfort of our own homes for those of us that aren't lucky enough to attend Tokyo Game Show 2018 to see the final build of the game.

Bandai Namco announced today that Soul Calibur 6 will receive an open network test for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players with servers going online next Friday, September 28th, at 8:00 a.m. PDT.

There will be 15 characters and nine stages available to players during the beta / network test time period with the main focus being on testing Soul Calibur 6's Ranked Matches though no other modes like Training have been detailed.

Interested players will have the opportunity to download the Soul Calibur 6 network test client starting on September 27th at 8:00 a.m. PDT via the PlayStation Store or Xbox Marketplace though no PC version of the beta have been announced.

This network test is scheduled to last from the morning of September 28th through September 30th at 8:00 p.m. PDT, so players will have the entire weekend to test out the game's online functionality and the majority of the cast.

Bandai Namco has not specified whether players will need a PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold membership to participate, but the network test will likely follow other betas that require the subscription. You can take a look at the publisher's full announcement below.
