Zeku player Serpentaurus took down Daigo, NuckleDu and Smug at SoCal Regionals, here's the footage of his epic match with The Beast

That Critical Art finisher though

What a weekend SoCal Regionals 2018 has brought us thus far. In a turn of events that no one could have predicted, many of the favorites to win or go far in the event have fallen early, a handful thanks to none other than TSD|Serpentaurus and his Zeku.

With the exception of NASR|AngryBird's recent win at Ultimate Fighting Arena 2018 we haven't seen much action from Zeku in this year's Capcom Pro Tour. While the community seems to give the character some credit in the way of potential, not many competitors have stepped up to realize said potential.

Indeed with two forms and two completely different move sets the character comes off as highly technical. Of that same coin he also has an exceptionally wide breadth in the approaches department as his young form favors rush down while his old form favors zoning.

If you're wondering what exactly happened to Rise|Smug, Ghost|NuckleDu and CYG|Daigo Umehara, they all were eliminated by Serpentaurus in off stream matches 2-1, 2-1 and 2-0 respectively.

Though their bout was unfortunately not on stream, Mr. Tempo|Alex Myers captured the footage of Daigo and our newly spotlighted Zeku hero from the event floor.

Here you'll see the epic final moments of the match as Serpent routes The Beast with a Critical Art and secures his 2-0 victory. You'll find their entire set after the jump.
