It's getting to be that time of year again when the Street Fighter 5 community leans their ears Capcom's way to hear about any potential major updates their game will be getting in next year's (currently unannounced) season.

While we did recently learn that the input lag is slated to be reduced, there are a few other avenues in which fans are hoping to see developers shake things up. One such avenue is the regulation of V-Triggers.

The spectrum of V-Trig viability is vast as some characters gain insanely tsunami-scale buffs after activation while others, like Falke, garner little more than a tear drop's worth of utility.

Vesper Arcade addressed such issues in a recent video as he tries to identify which characters could use more efficient comeback mechanics and which may need some nerfs for the good of the game.

There are a few different angles in which to approach this topic, as Triggers can be beneficial in wildly different ways. Overall damage potential is obvious and clearly important, but more technical Trigger uses such as special move cancels and frequency of use are also very important.

The fact that Ibuki or Menat are able to sometimes get two Triggers in a single round seems pretty overpowered, and perhaps it's time to give Vega something more than a single-use rose toss.
