It was just around this time last year that we first heard that Peter "Combofiend" Rosas was leaving Capcom after five years with the company, and we had no idea where he was headed next.

The long time fighting game community competitor turned developer was known first for his stellar play, perhaps becoming most famous for his mastery of Spencer's Bionic Arm Super in Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

After having joined Capcom around 2012 to help work on the latter iterations of Street Fighter 4 and then Street Fighter 5, we stopped seeing Rosas as much behind the sticks and instead looked forward to seeing him behind the microphone as he served as an unofficial bridge between community and company.

After his work with Street Fighter 5, Rosas moved on to the development team of 2017's Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite. It was just over a month after Infinite's September 16th release that announced that he would be parting ways with Capcom.

It seems as though Combofiend didn't swing too far away as we've been able to independently verify that he is now working with Marvel Games.

We spotted the familiar moniker in the credits of the wildly popular new Spider-Man title for PlayStation 4. Rosas' name pops up near the very end of the credits sequence, but if you're not wanting to wait for a minute and thirty seconds, don't worry, we've clipped it for you right here:

This actually isn't the first time we've seen Rosas running with the Marvel Games crew, as he appeared in a photo earlier this year at the world premier for the Black Panther film posted by Marvel Games Executive Creative Director, Bill Rosemann.

He was also involved with Marvel's Strike Force mobile game that launched in March of this year. We've found a few images of him as he represents the Marvel Games team:

"Happy #SpiderManPS4 Launch Day from your Amazing Friends at @MarvelGames! Thank you to @insomniacgames & @PlayStation for pouring your hearts into the game we always dreamed of! And thank you to everyone playing the game & showing the world why Spider-Man is our hero! #BeGreater," reads Rosemann's tweet with the second image from above.

During his time with Capcom, Combofiend was a community manager. He also assisted with the gameplay and balance of Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, Street Fighter 5, and Ultra Street Fighter 4.

He's been credited as an associate producer for Street Fighter 5 and Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, production for Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers, design in Ultra Street Fighter 4, and public relations for Strider (2014) and Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara.

He also appeared alongside Ryan "Gootecks" Gutierrez in one of Kamasi Washington's music videos back in July of 2018.

On the gaming front, Combofiend has been spotted playing competitive Street Fighter 5 once again in SoCal, and even attended SoCal Regionals this year to test his Cody out in a major event.

Our fingers are crossed that we'll continue to see the charismatic player at future events as he's always been a consistent joy to watch regardless of the fighting game he's competing in.
