'Though I may be crazy but I truly believe Beerus is high tier' — SonicFox on Beerus' untapped potential in Dragon Ball FighterZ

While most believe Beerus to be the worst in the game, SonicFox thinks Beerus might actually have a few 'cheap' tools that he can utilize

I'm sure everyone by now is well aware that Beerus is the worst character in Dragon Ball FighterZ. At the very least, most of the world's top competitors for the game appear to believe in this notion.

Then there's FOX|SonicFox. Without a doubt, he's currently the best player in the world. His victory at EVO 2018 is certainly irrefutable proof of that.

SonicFox has a special gift when it comes to seeing the potential of in-game combatants that have otherwise been labeled as low, bottom, or garbage tier. On Twitter, he's been speculating on the possibility that Beerus might actually be high tier.

So why hasn't anyone been able to tap Beerus' true potential? According to SonicFox, Beerus might be the most difficult character to master next to Majin Buu — who is also often regarded as a lower tiered fighter.

Evidently, SonicFox is exploring Beerus' abilities to punish opponents who might be a little too trigger happy when it comes to super dashes. This technique tends to ignore Beerus' destruction orbs after all.

While SonicFox's Beerus appears to still be in the early stages of discovery, he believes that Beerus is able to win out specific micro situations better than any other character. For example, SonicFox actually refers to Beerus' ability to punish the opponent for guard cancelling to be "cheap" since it's safe against most of the cast in many situations.

This is only SonicFox's Beerus in the early stages, of course. Perhaps in the next few months, we can see SonicFox's Beerus utilized in tournament — similar to what he did with Mikey of the Ninja Turtles in Injustice 2.
