New Street Fighter 5: Type Arcade location test footage surfaces

Street Fighter 5 is gearing up to see an official arcade release in Japan sometime in 2019. Another run of location tests for the game, which we now know is officially called "Street Fighter 5: Type Arcade" is currently going on in Sendai, Tokyo, Kyoto and Fukuoka, Japan.

A live stream giving us direct-feed footage of the game in action was held earlier today by クラブセガ新宿西口BATTLE ARENA An archive is now available to watch on YouTube that will allow you to watch roughly 4 hours of Street Fighter 5: Type Arcade matches.

Some of the new things we see in Type Arcade are the updated UI. In this arcade version, rankings, player names, titles and BP are all found above the health bar as opposed to below like we're used to with the console version.

Speaking of which, probably the most stark difference between the home and arcade versions is the addition of Battle Points in Type Arcade. Both BP and Player Points make their return here, though as HiFight points out League Points can still be seen displayed on screen which likely means you'll be able to connect your CFN account to your arcade profile.

Today's location test footage also marks the first time we're seeing the updated title screen with the official name of the arcade version (which you can see in the banner above).

This series of location tests is taking place until December 1st, so we'll likely be seeing more footage of Street Fighter 5: Type Arcade over the next day or so.
