Kill la Kill the Game: IF announced for Nintendo Switch; adds Harime Nui and Ragyou Kiryuuin as playable characters
Kill la Kill fans had been clamoring for a video game based on the popular anime for years, but hope slowly dwindled away as the years passed since the series' first airing until Kill la Kill the Game: IF was announced earlier this year.
Arc System Works, the game's publisher, recently announced a new platform for the game to appear on along with two new playable characters to go along with the previous heroes and Elite Four members including Nonon Jakuzure and Houka Inumuta.
The 3D arena fighter developed by APlus Games will now be coming to the Nintendo Switch alongside its originally planned PlayStation 4 and PC releases.
Harime Nui and Ragyou Kiryuuin were also announced to be playable characters in the brawler likely serving as the game's antagonists due to their roles in the anime's story. This could change, however, since Kill la Kill the Game: IF will feature a new story centered around Satsuki Kiryuuin as the protagonist.
We don't really get a very good sense of their gameplay styles from the few screenshots that have been released for the new characters so far, but Harime Nui will likely be based around speed and tricky tactics while Ragyou will be overpowering since one of her screens shows multiple explosions erupting from the ground.
Kill la Kill the Game: IF is set to release worldwide for all three systems in 2019. You can check out the new screenshots of Harime Nui and Ragyou in the gallery below via Famitsu.
