While things have been going swimmingly on the single player and visual fronts for Soul Calibur 6, Bandai Namco's latest fighter has received a less than warm welcome from fans in terms of online play.

The official Soul Calibur Twitter has revealed that developers have heard players' concerns and are addressing quite a few problems that are currently detracting from fun levels.

"We have encountered a few issues in Soul Calibur 6’s Online and VS modes," the introductory tweet reads. "We are working on fixes and solutions. Fixes for these issues along with a game balance update will be released subsequently."

In terms of game play, Soul Gauge moves can sometimes be used before it's actually full, and some characters have a bit more range than the creators intended them to have. The specifics as to which characters they're talking about are undisclosed, but we have a feeling Ivy is one of them.

While balance changes are certainly welcome, the online experience has surely been the game's heaviest albatross to date. A proper fix here is very important during this crucial period of first impressions.
