As of March 31, 2018, we heard that Dragon Ball FighterZ had surpassed 2.5 million sales worldwide. This is quite an impressive milestone as the game had only been released back in January of this year.

It appears that the game's streak of selling copies has not ceased since then. The fact that the title was ported to the Nintendo Switch towards the end of September was probably a major contributor to the title's continued success.

Reports indicate that Dragon Ball FighterZ has now surpassed 3.5 million sales worldwide across all platforms. Digital downloads has apparently been factored into this number.

In other words, this is Arc System's best selling game so far. Notably, the game's publisher, Bandai Namco, has seen a lot of success in the fighting game industry as of late.

Back in October, it was reported that Tekken 7 had now exceeded 3 million sales worldwide. At the end of this year in December, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will be released exclusively on the Nintendo Switch — a title in which Bandai Namco is acting as the developer for.

The development of the Season 1 pass has already wrapped up. This pass gave everyone access Broly, Bardock, Super Saiyan Blue Vegito, Fused Zamasu, Base Form Goku, Base Form Vegeta, Cooler, and Android 17. Nothing has been officially announced regarding a Season 2 thus far, but it looks extremely likely considering the game's amazing success.
