There is a required update now available for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite. Interestingly enough, there's a noteworthy disparity between the three available platforms.

According to Maximilian, the update is approximately 16GB for the Xbox One version, 10GB for the Steam version, and 421MB for the PlayStation 4 version.

Strangely, the only changes mentioned are general system fixes. As of the time of writing this, there have been no posts by Capcom Unity or the official Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite Twitter account that explain what's going on here. The last update on the Twitter account is listed as February 27, 2018.

The Japanese Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite website has stated there have simply been changes made to the game. It has been confirmed that these changes have nothing to do with the game's balance.

Last night, we explored the possibilities surrounding an "Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite." The release candidate branches that were present on the Steam Database have now been made public.

It's no secret that Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite fell short of player expectations due to a number of controversies. In the last three months, the sales for the game have not seen much of an increase from the 1 million sold, according to a financial report.
