Bugs and glitches are an unfortunate reality for game developers, testers and consumers that can never truly be quashed no matter how much time and effort are sunk into a game.

Street Fighter and fighting games in general have been no stranger to prominent bugs that can sometimes even make their way into or change a game's meta like the creation of combos as a concept.

A group of players have discovered a bug that was introduced in Street Fighter 5's Arcade Edition patch that causes characters' inputs to become reversed after performing or getting hit by certain moves.

Loïc *WydD* Petit is a developer of the sfvsim tool that allows players to view things like characters' hit/ hurtboxes in SF5 and released a video earlier today describing the bug and why it occurs.

This particular input bug occurs do to a flag that was added to one of Alex's specials with AE and can affect any characters' moves that has that particular flag on that input. He demonstrates the bug by hitting Rashid with a back throw and subsequently showing that during forward run, he will jump backwards while the inputs show a forward jump directional input.

You can check out Petit's video after the jump and examples of the bug happening to Alex and Juri in the clips below.
