Not since the days of MUGEN have we seen anime fighters cross over in the realm that ArcSys is putting together for BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle combining the likes of BlazBlue characters with Under Night In-Birth, Persona 4 Arena and RWBY.

With the game just over two months away now, Arc System Works put out a new trailer on their Japanese account to show off the features and different modes found in the new cross over game.

Cross Tag Battle features an Episode Mode for the 4 different properties with an original story in a new mysterious world where characters get roped into a "survival tag battle." It appears in the trailer that the stories will be broken into different episodes by characters' series of origin and crossing over in the various chapters of the mode.

Training and Tactics modes are in the game to practice combos on dummies and complete tutorials and trials along with a gallery to view art and replays, a Survival Mode to test your skills against the computer and more.

Online mode appears similar to other recent ArcSys titles like Dragon Ball FighterZ with its use of chibi avatars and the ability to move around an open space with a casual lobby, ranked lobby and room matches.

BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle is coming to Japan on May 31 for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Steam while North America will need to wait a week for the game to come out on June 5. You can find the full trailer after the jump.
